Care Guide
AALIA JEWELLERY is crafted from 14k/18k gold-plated brass and 18k gold-filled materials.
We have conducted numerous quality tests on our jewellery.
To extend the longevity of your pieces, we recommend you follow these simple rules:
- Store your jewellery in a dry and dark place. Preferably in the jewellery box it comes with.
- Don't leave your jewellery in the bathroom or in other damp, wet rooms.
- Avoid direct contact with creams, perfumes, hairspray etc. Style yourself first- then put on your jewellery.
- Avoid daily contact with chloride, salt water, hard chemicals etc.
- Use a jewellery cleaning cloth or wool cloth regularly to clean off any dirt.
- Gently clean your jewellery. Don't rub too hard; otherwise, you will slowly rub off the gold plating.
- We recommend taking off your jewellery before sleeping to prevent unnecessary rubbing on the gold plating.
Gold-plated Plated may fade if the care instructions are not adhered to, do not expose gold-plated to water, perfumes or lotions; this may cause the plating to fade. Gold-plated plated may naturally fade over time.
Gold Filled: It's an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. Gold-filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Gold-filled is much more valuable and Nickel and lead-free.
It is best to remove Jewellery while in water as it will lose its shine and colour. Avoid spraying perfume or applying creams where your jewellery will have contact. Avoid extreme temperatures, humidity and sunlight. Any contact with perfumes/ cosmetics and chemicals will cause discolouration to semi-precious metals. This is not a fault and can be avoided by caring for your jewellery as detailed above.
Cubic Zirconia is the ultimate diamond alternative, a high grade CZ stone shares many of the same qualities of a diamond, producing more flashes of colour and sparkle than its expensive sister! CZ stones are more ethical and of course a less expensive alternative.
